Hollond is described in the Oxford dictionary of national biography as "salon hostess, philanthropist, and author". Books by her include La vie de village en Angleterre, ou, Souvenirs d'un exilé (1862), A lady's journal of her travels in Egypt and Nubia (1864) and Les Quakers (1870)
