Description

Invasive pulmonary aspergillosis, a fungal infection. This is a low power view of invasive aspergillus in the lung of a patient with AIDS. In the centre is a necrotic lesion based on a blood vessel; from this the hyphae are radiating, causing haemorrhagic necrosis. H&E stain. See also image W0047307.
