[Ledger: Balance Sheets]

Large ledger containing balance sheets (liabilities/assets), spanning 31 August 1880 to 31 August 1939. Completed quarterly until 1891, 6-monthly until 1894, and thereafter annually. All pages used. The balance at 31 August, 1880, was £6,179.16.0.

With very occasional commentary: see, for example, the Balance Sheet for February 1890, where a difference of opinion is referred to between Mr Burroughs and Mr Wellcome concerning depreciation following the fire at Wandsworth; see also, remarks for February 1891.

1 volume Volume measures 330 x 295mm. Black. With brass lock (open). Fire damage to boards, but binding sound and contents intact, with some restriction to opening fully.
