Notes

Kath Austin is going up onto the plinth to promote British Heart Foundation. Her father discovered he had bad cholesterol due to genetic inheritance, so both her and her brother got checked and she had quite high for her age. She works for a charity called HFT who support people with learning difficulties and find creative ways of helping them. On the plinth she will be hula hooping to promote exercise, eating a healthy breakfast, hugging a giant heart and throwing bananas in to the crowd. She enjoys things that scare her and make her feel uncomfortable so that she challenges herself, she talks about some of the scary things she has done in the past. On the plinth she is going to wear a feather bower and a pink wig. She loves running, photography, travelling and reading and so she talks about what books she has read and enjoyed.
