Notes

Mark Gleaves is originally from Manchester but now lives in Stratford upon Avon. He works as a contractor but has been out of work the past 11 months and so has taken the opportunity to go back and study. He feels that more and more employers require degrees and he has started a maths course with the Open University. He went straight to work from University and feels that he is now getting the qualifications he needs for current day work requirements. His interests outside of work include rambling and the arts and he is a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company as well as his wife and daughter. They see about five productions a year. On the plinth he will be dressed in Elizabeth costume, on loan from the RSC and will be reading extracts from Shakespeare as well as incident reports from his local mountain rescue team which he has supported for many years.
