AMOUNT OF SHIPPING ENTERED THE DISTRICT DURING- 1962 Cargo traffic was concerned with:- Import : Canned meat, milk and cream; cheese, eggs, butter, hides, cereals, sand, slag, stone and timber. Export : Durite, barley. Principal Ports from which ships arrive:- London, Middlesborough, Colchester, Keadby, Dean Quarry and Guernsey. with foreign vessels from:- Esbjerg, Dieppe and Rotterdam. There is no inland barge traffic. There is no change in Water Supply arrangements. Pour samples taken during the year for bacteriological examination were of a satisfactory nature. No change in P.H. (Ships) Regulations, 1952 arrangements. Hospital, Laboratory and Ambulance arrangements are unchanged. No change No cases of notifiable disease occurred on ships during the year.
