Letter from the University of Glasgow dated Apr 1949 advertising lecturer and assistant posts across several departments, including genetics; the letter encloses details of the university grading and salary scheme. Letter from G Pontecorvo to J B S Haldane dated 23 May 1949 stating that the person Haldane suggested might be interested in applying had not done so, but that there is still time to apply for the assistantship. Letter from Haldane's secretary to A G Searle dated 24 May 1949 asking whether he is still interested in the post, or whether he missed the advertisement.
