Description

(2) - The most new Testament, dedicated to King Charles (pp. 92-145). (3) Christophorus Parisiensis. The Elucidary (pp. 150-198). (4) Hollandus (J.I.) [De lapide philosophico.] (ff. 1-8). (5) Hugo de Parma. Alchemical work (ff. 10, 11). (6) Lullius (R.) [& others] Extracts (ff. 13-16). (7) Moulin (D.) The operation of our Glorious Mercury upon the Calxes of all mettals (ff. 18, 19). (8) Ripley (G.) Accurtation (fol. 20). (9) Grummet (C.) The Praxis of the Vitriol of Venus in the 2 book of 'Sanguis Naturae' (fol. 21). (10) [Anon.] Caducean of Mercury. With notes of D.M. (ff. 23-32). (11) Suchten (A. von) The Concordance (fol. 33). (12) Moulin (D.) Notes (ff. 34, 35). No. 5 Hugo de Parma may be the Canon of Bologna who died in 1338 [cf. Chevalier, Répertoire: Bio-bibliographie]. On fol. 21 (No. 9) is a note by Moulin: 'This was translated from Doctor Moulin's own hand by Mr. Van Heyden May ye 21st 1698'. This may be Antonius van der Heyden, a Dutch anatomist and chemist, who published a 'Nieuw Ligt der Apothekers' at Amsterdam in 1684. No particulars have been found concerning Moulin, he was presumably of the same family as Lewis du Moulin M.D. [1606-1680] and Peter du Moulin D.D. [1601-1684].
