HIV encephalopathy This is a high power microscopic view of a monoclonal anti-macrophage stained section of brain from a child with HIV encephalitis which shows a microglial nodule as a concentration of microglial cells. This technique brings out many more microglial cells than an H&E stain. Immunostain against CD68.
