About this work

Description

Hiram Walker & Sons was (and is) a maker of Canadian whisky. In the late 19th century they faced stiff competition in the U.S. market from the makers of "spurious Canadian whiskies" (leaf [2].) This book consists mostly of photographs of posters the firm displayed in U.S. cities exposing the fraudulent firms that distilled the "bogus liquors".
