A lively promotional video for Glasgow University's science courses. The starting point is the arrival on earth of an alien who asks questions about the earth, its atmosphere, plants and inhabitants. Shows the earth from space, includes time-lapse film of plants, flowers and raindrops, makes a brief survey of evolution and considers the dangers which now threaten the earth's atmosphere.
