Biographical note

Dr Martin Roth worked at Crichton Royal Hospital from 1948 to 1950. Morag Williams was Dumfries and Galloway Health Board Archivist from 1983 to 2008 and she also established and ran Crichton Royal Museum from 1989 to 2004. Dr Allan C. Tait was on the medical staff at Crichton Royal Hospital from 1953 to 1978; he was also Director of Clinical Research from 1954 to 1966 and was Physician Superintendent from 1966 to 1978. Dr John C. Powell was a Consultant in the Department of Child Psychiatry at Crichton Royal Hospital. Dr Robin McCreadie joined the hospital staff in 1979 and became Director of Clinical Research in 1982, before becoming Director of Clinical Services in 1988. Dr Joan Currah was a member of staff at Crichton Royal Hospital from 1967 to 1968 and rejoined the staff in 1970 working in the Department of Child Psychiatry.
