About this work

Description

3D model of a fragment of a medieval human maxilla (upper jaw bone). To image the specimen, 1400 virtual x-ray slices were captured using a micro CT scanner. These were then used to create a digital model and colour textures were applied to highlight the teeth (blue) and bone (brown).
