Notes

Carol Leigh-Standish comes from Derby. Works for the Derbyshire police for the last 12 years in the telecoms departments. She also works part-time for Unison. On the plinth she is planning to raise awareness on domestic violence as it's the campaign for 2009. Promoting the white ribbon campaign which originated in Canada asking men to say they will never commit or stay silent on issues of violence against women. Recently travelled to South Africa to meet her father for the first time in 45 years..
