About this work

Description

This paperwork was generated during the election of candidates to membership. The material is arranged by date of election and is all for successful candidates (except E.2/10). Each candidate has a support slip signed by a proposer and seconders, and an application form giving address, research interests, academic post and a bibliography. Before 1951 the support slips were bound in separate books but after this date they were filed together with the application forms and bibliographies (E.2/29 onwards). Please note that not all this material may exist for every candidate. Letters of acceptance from honorary members are usually filed with their forms but in a few cases are held in separate files.
