Commonplace book, containing mainly extracts from sermons and theological works. The volume appears to reflect current concerns of an Anglican clergyman. Signature on the front fly leaf 'J. Applebee January 1778.'

The writer may have been John, son of George Applebee of St Bride's, London, who graduated at Oxford BA 1776, BD 1785.
