About this work

Description

In universam medicinam. I. In universam medicam disciplinam quaestiones proemiales. De anatomia seu de continentibus humani corporis partibus. Written by the same hand as the three other volumes of these lecture notes [MSS. 4355-7] of a complete course on the theory and practice of medicine, at Naples University given by Antonio Santorelli, the first professor of medicine, and Aloisio de Gratia, who may possibly be the 'Licenciado Gratia' entered on p. 76 of Vol. V of Morejon's 'Medicina Española'. These notes were taken down by an unnamed student from the dictation of Carolus Pignatara, as stated in MSS. Nos. 4360 and 4361, and after the death of Santorelli in 1653. Lettered on the spine 'In universam medicinam Theorica'. Produced in Naples.
