Trachoma WHO grade: TS with TI

WHO grade: trachomatous scarring (TS) with trachomatous inflammation - intense (TI) This is the upper tarsal conjunctiva of a patient with TS and TI. There is inflammatory thickening of the upper tarsal conjunctiva. Scarring, visible as white lines, is pronounced and forms a typical mesh of fibrous tissue obscuring the deep vessels. There is a sheet of scarring at the lid margin. Note: WHO = World Health Organization.
