About this work

Description

The programme examines the long term issues regarding scientic research funding. Whereas scientists were previously responsible for decision making in research, now they have to consult at every stage. Everyone agrees that government, industry and the universities should get together to turn innovation into wealth; but without an increase in the budget of the research councils and universities or tax incentives to industry it is unlikely to happen.
