Description

On fo. 2 is written "Epitome of Physiology. Dr. Sharpy. 1837-88." This book contains the notes made by a student at Sharpey's lectures. Most of the pages are divided vertically by a pencilled line, and written in two columns. See also MS.MSL.80. There are many miscellaneous notes on other subjects, and frequent references to the pages of a text-book which is not named.

70 folios 16mo. 15 × 9.5 cm. Stationer's pocket book with machine-ruled pages in its original covers, rebacked, with maker's name.

Biographical note

[William Sharpey, 1802-1880, had been appointed Professor of Physiology at University College London in 1836 and he held the chair for 38 years].
