Description
Typescript account written by Heatley to explain the documents and notebooks in the 1980s accession (Oxford V, VI and VII, formerly GC/48/A/1-3, now PP/NHE/A/2/1/3-5). Includes explanations of the methods of recording used in the Oxford laboratory notebooks and provides a useful introduction to the documents. Also includes an account of the research undertaken, some autobiographical details, and a list of visitors to the Dunn School of Pathology interested in penicillin (including Alexander Fleming). Also details of wartime defence arrangements at the Dunn School in 1938. An important document for researchers on Heatley and Penicillin.
