Notes

The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "He is sitting on a prop balcony, looking to the side. An obscure Belgian drag performer called 'Thomasset' on a high quality photographic postcard published by Lapinskoff, Antwerp. This is 'passing' drag in the high fashion of ca. 1908-1910. The skirt has a train, and the net tunic over-dress has wide guipure embroidered panels. A large rose corsage, pearl and diamond jewellery, magnificent hat, wig and make-up complete the picture."
This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
