Includes: letters re transport, unhygienic slaughter-grounds; new rule for the medical services; numbers treated, Jan 1855-March 1856, in Scutari Hospital; and the duties of nurses; protests against constant parades for nursing orderlies; and arrangements for departure from Crimea; statistics re ophthalmia among patients at St. George's Monastery; return of sick from one division of the French army, Feb 1856, and notes re changes to the French Army Medical Department as a result of the war. With requests for preferment and compensation; resolutions of the Medical Officers of the Army for better pay; and Hall's passport. Aug-Dec 1856.
