About this work

Description

Correspondence and papers regarding a SPINA pilot project with test veterans examining the psychological impact of witnessing nuclear tests. The eventual aim of the project was to offer veterans support and advice in claiming compensation. The project was established in collaboration with the Institute of Psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital, London, in 1991. The results of the study were not published as the Maudsley Hosptiral felt the sample was not large enough to draw firm conclusions about the long-term mental health implications of witnessing nuclear tests.
