About this work

Description

Volume contains lists of staff arranged by year, house, department and then job. Information contained includes staff name, date of entering service, position, date of certificate, date and amount of last increment, salary and emoluments, remarks (e.g. left, weekly increase, etc.), monthly amount paid and total for the year. Salary details are recorded for November 1909-October 1914. At the rear of the volume there are lists of staff arranged by house and department showing War Bonus payments from April 1915 to February 1916. Lists record staff name, position, value of War Bonus (e.g. 10% on wages paid), salary and monthly amount paid. Attached to the inside cover are three manuscript and printed notices and memorandum relating to staff coal allowance, probationer nurses and attendants, and married attendants. Loose items found in this volume: 1) Two page list of staff classified into departments and positions, 1 November 1909 2) Notice regarding nurses and attendants scale of pay, allowances, hours of work and meals, leave of absence, annual holiday, arrangements regarding ill health and pensions, May 1913 3) Memorandum written by Dr C. C. Easterbrook to House Steward, Mr Manson, relating to nurses and attendants who passed their final exams, 21 January 1925
