At a Committee Meeting held this Afternoon, John Underwood, Esq. tbe President, in the Chair, the following Report and Resolu- tions were unanimously adopted. REPORT. The Trustees, appointed for the purpose of promoting the establish- ment of Harrison’s Infirmary, feel it to be their duty to present to the notice of the donors, and the subscribers to the Infirmary, the following brief statement:— The primary object which the trustees have had in view, is the accumulation of a fund—the interest of which will enable the trus- tees to meet a large portion of the annual expenses connected with the Institution. This fund they have not as yet realized; and it is evident, that, such a fund will not be realized, unless by great exer- tions on the part of those friends of humanity, who are convinced of the great, the almost inconceivable benefits connected with the mode of treatment adopted by Dr. Harrison, in the cure of spinal disorders. The trustees being still more deeply convinced of the efficacy of Dr. Harrison’s mode of treatment, since the last anniversary, call most earnestly upon the subscribers and the friends to the Institution, to use additional exertions in the cause of this charity, as thereby they will be doing a good, for which they will receive the blessings of some of the most afflicted of the human race. Should, however, a sufficient fund not he obtained by July 7, 1836, the trustees will recommend to the meeting then to be called, that the monies previously subscribed with the interest produced, shall be returned to the parties who came so liberally forward to aid the Insti- tution ; and, in the mean time, recommend that the yearly subscribers be not called upon for their suberiptions, until the experience of another year, establishes the certainty of success, or the reverse. The trustees can scarcely endure the thought, that, after the noble commencement, made by Dr. Harrison’s subeription of £l,000, the Institution should not be developed, so as to render all the benefits to
