Notes

Barry Kirkman lives in Cornwall. He is a roofer and leadworker by trade for the last 15 years. Makes film too, has experimented a lot with 8mm abstract film. Does film archiving of events in Cornwall, lives in a forest with his family, has become a hermit over the last 15 years. On the plinth he is going to perform Christ's crucifixion, adopting a number of poses of Christ from famous paintings. Also makes sculpture and originally applied to have his sculpture on the plinth for the original competition for which artist would get the fourth plinth.
