About this work

Description

A manuscript scroll with text in both kanbun and katakana-majiri including coloured diagrams of the human body with acupuncture points and some internal organs named, copied in the first half of 19th century. According to the notes in English accompanying this item, it was executed by Yoshida Ikiu in 1688 and was formerly property of the Yoshida family (1500-1910), but there is no evidence to support any of these claims.
