Notes

Ann Mary Carter from Stand Lake in Witney Oxfordshire. The area of Witney is famed for making blankets and therefore she intends to bring a Witney blanket with her when she is on the plinth. She did a BA in librarianship when she first left school, and worked as a librarian in a public library for ten years. After that she did a PGCE and was a teacher for a further ten years. She is now working for West Oxford district council as a housing adviser. On the plinth she would rather be herself than do a performance, and so she will bring with her a Witney blanket and a chair and she plans to sit and drink a cup of tea. She will also read out some of Christian prayers. She does a lot of charity work in general but has decided not to incorporate charity whilst on the plinth as she has decided it is her time.
