Papers re the Campaign's views on the Cancer Bill and Act [1939], particularly the government's use of the words 'Cancer Campaign'; provisions for state funded services; local authority diagnostic and treatment centres; co-operation between local authorities and voluntary organizations; application of the Act and how it might affect the work of the Campaign nationally and locally. Includes correspondence, memoranda, press cuttings, articles, leaflets, copies of the Bill and Act and Health Circulars to County and County Borough Councils. (Although the Act was passed in 1939, the working of it was postponed in most places because of World War II)
