About this work
Description
A documentary, narrated by Emma Freud, featuring 2 young children and a young woman with severe facial disfigurements - Crouzon Syndrome and Apert Syndrome. The young woman has experienced a lifetime of plastic surgery already and we follow her as she undergoes one more operation. We also chart the progress of a four-year-old boy as his face is quite radically reconstructed leaving his mother with the dilemma that she 'no longer recognises him.'
