About this work

Description

This man is kneading a net in half a litre of insecticide emulsion, eg. permethrin. The plastic gloves protect his hands from excessive exposure to the chemical. The large volume of stock insecticide which has been made up is visible in the blue basin. For each net, half a litre of emulsion is transferred to a separate basin where the net is kneaded until all the liquid has been soaked up. There is a plentiful supply of plastic gloves for other team members to help. See also images W0046175, W0046177, W0046178, W0046179 and W0046182.
