Records of Duncan Macintyre in his capacity as member of the MCANW Glasgow branch and Chair of the group from 1982-1985. Records include publications: "Nuclear war: prevention is better. A statement by members of the medical profession", published by the Edinburgh MCANW branch, 1982; Strathclyde Regional Council, City of Glasgow District Council, "Freedom from Fear: Nuclear weapons and nuclear war" civil defence booklet, 1984.

Includes a report on the Scottish public health campaign bus and Peace March Scotland 1982, including black and white photograph of the bus. Also includes correspondence and papers relating to a conference for IPPNW members on the Isle of Iona and correspondence with the Iona Community, 1990-1993. This conference was organised by Macintyre and held for a week on the Isle of Iona for IPPNW members, and included a number of parallel meetings run by Helen Steven, the island's peace worker. Also includes correspondence regarding requests to display MCANW exhibitions in Glasgow hospitals and medical schools.
