Normal conjunctiva

This image shows a normal upper tarsal conjunctiva. The normal conjunctiva is pink, smooth, thin and transparent. There are large deep-lying blood vessels that run vertically over the whole area of the tarsal conjunctiva. Note that the white patches are camera flash reflections and should be ignored.
