Notes

Hazel Imbert lives in Worthing but was born in Eastborne in Sussex. She is going to be ironing shirts while on the plinth. She used to be in a travelling theatre company and now works as a textile artist doing community art projects. She is very interested in the idea of being a woman and having the space to be a creative artist, she also thinks that women's creativity is about looking after others and having children. She is doing the project for herself because she often puts aside her own desires to work in a group. She hopes women will empathise with her. She describes herself as quite funny, conscientious, reliable and enjoys being inside her own head. She hopes she will be able to say she has put her own needs first. She is taking an iron, two baskets, the shirts and an iron on the plinth.
