Some have been annotated - presumably re. the Wellcome-v-Burroughs litigation of 1888. ms letters from Fairchild Bros & Foster New York to Henry Wellcome 1) 11 Jan 1888, 3pg progress of business; difficulties as SMB hired Dr Chamberlain of Medina; problems with pricing of malt; 2)14 Feb 1888, 1pg re Dr Hoffman's visit. 3) 21 Feb 1889, 1pg re missing box sent to Henry Wellcome via Fellows. 4) 17 Sep 1889, 2pg thanked Henry Wellcome for present (cap); fire at Wandsworth; also re article on the Thames. 5) 2 telegrams from Fairchild to Henry Wellcome 27 Spr 1887 and 2 May 1887 re SMB's visit to America. ms letter to SMB from Henry Wellcome. 1) Copy letter 21 Apr 1891, typed, to SMB in Constantinople. Re. business relationship with Fairchilds and possible firction if Burroughs Wellcome & Co. introduced digestive products, also re. menthol plasters 2) draft, ms letter to SMB, undated, 7pg. disagreement between Burroughs and Wellcome re. menthol plasters - much about their business relationship. unclear if actually sent.
