Description

The film opens with an illustration of the building which was the birthplace of the American Medical Association, then further rostrum camera shots of photographs of its premises in 1902, 1910, 1924 and then near north side and American Association Headquarters at 535 North Dearborn Street, Chicago. There are views across the skyline of Chicago taken from a high angle, then down to street level. Additional construction is shown; the interitle is dated 1935-6. A building has considerable scaffolding on a number of levels. A girder is hoisted up on a crane to a workman on the roof. Other men are seen at work. There is a foreman and a surveyor. The cornerstone which was placed in 1910 is inspected in March 1936. An artist's impression of the completed modernist building is then shown. The end credits send a cordial greeting to the British Medical Association.
