Description

The file comprises:

Receipt for £29 paid by H S Wellcome for "five shares stock" in the Kepler Malt Extract Co Ltd, 3 April 1881.

Declaration by Mr. Henry S Wellcome that 25 shares (numbers 126-150) in the Kepler Malt Extract Co Ltd which have been transferred to him by Mr P E Lockwood, and also all further shares in the Company which might be transferred in the future, are partnership property belonging to Burroughs Wellcome & Co, for whom the shares are held in trust, 5 December 1881. Also, a declaration by Mr Henry S Wellcome that all shares in the Kepler Malt Extract Co. Ltd. are held in trust for Burroughs Wellcome & Co, 5 December 1881, confirmed 29 May 1885. Both documents have a sticker adhered stating that each was "Received from Mr Wellcome by Mr Pearson 6th Oct. 1921".

Kepler Malt Extract Co. Ltd. Share Certificate No. 32 for share numbers 285-99 and 180/184. Issued in the name of Robert Clay Sudlow, 29 August 1882.

Two signed copies of an Agreement (one marked Draft) between the Kepler Malt Extract Co Ltd and Burroughs Wellcome & Co whereby all rights are vested in BW&Co but the Kepler Malt Extract Co "shall continue in existence as a Joint Stock Company under the Limited Liability Acts and shall not be liquidated." Dated 31 August, 1882. Both copies with a sticker adhered stating that each was "Received from Mr Wellcome by Mr Pearson 6th Oct. 1921".

Memorandum (27 November, 1915) from MOR to Mr Smith: "In accordance with your decision I am giving instructions for the omission of the entry 'Kepler' Malt Extract Co Snow Hill Buildings EC from the 1916 issue of Kelly's Directory of Chemists and Druggists."

Memoranda (all 1908) relating to the contents of "Box no. 94" (Kepler papers).

Original card folder (1921) with note of contents, and typescript description adhered to original brown paper covering (contents noted as being stored in Safe and numbered 1380a and 104).
