Description

Twelve letters written by Francis Galton to his sisters Elizabeth and Emma.

The letters concern Galton's health, social engagements, his trips abroad, and family matters, including George Darwin's knighthood, and the deaths of Erasmus Galton and Edward Darwin.

The letters also discuss Galton's receipt of the Huxley Medal, the Royal Society Darwin Medal, and becoming an Honorary Fellow of Trinity College Cambridge, as well as lectures given and Galton's book Noteworthy Families.
