The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "An amateur theatrical performance at unidentified location. The large group of women are dressed in a variety of costumes, include several cross-dressed as men. The title 'Oh Marguerite' may be taken from the aria of the same name in Gounod's opera 'Faust'."
