Description

Trattato delle operationi chirurgiche. This MS. textually closely resembles the Italian abridgement of the 'Cours d'opérations de chirurgie' probably made by C. M. Lotteri in 1723 [MS.2128], but without the illustrations. On the verso of the sixth leaf from the end is a note of a cure effected by the writer, dated 1731. On the second leaf from the end are notes relating to money repayments dated 1776. The date 1746 is written inside the upper cover. Produced in Turin?

Biographical note

Trattato delle operationi chirurgiche. by Domenico Cauda of Turin, as is shown by an inscription on the first leaf by his son, also named Domenico. A crossed through inscription below this on the same page appears to read 'Domenico Cauda flebotomista approvato il figlio Dominici Caudae de Torino'.
