Notes

"Thank you for picking up a copy of SAPPHIC! I decided to put together this zine because I think that somewhere in the realms of the internet, especially sites like Tumblr, common ground between bisexual/pansexual women and lesbians has been lost, and categorising one's identity has led us to believe we are two very different groups. It's true that lesbians and bisexuals face different problems and forms of oppression; even different experiences in coming out etc. But I really think that the common narratives and experiences, such as coming out, experiencing homophobia, crushes on friends etc, between lesbian and bi women are not so different! SAPPHIC intends to bridge the "gap" by compiling thoughts, writing and art by bisexual, lesbian, pansexual and queer women in one place."--From Introduction.
