Traité de l'hygiène ou les moyens de conserver la santé. Divisé en quatre tomes. Author's holograph MSS. This enormous unpublished work contains 3334 pages, excluding Indexes. It embraces every kind of subject related to personal health, diet, way of life, considered from all possible aspects. It is probably the result of many years of research and labour, and seems to have been prepared for publication, as is shown by the elaborate indexes at the end. Following p. 3334 is a copy, by the hand of the author, of an 'Éloge et vertus du Caffé. Extrait d'une lettre inserée dans le 'Mercure' de 7bre, 1741, fol. 1964'. (2 ll. 24 × 181/2 cm.).
