On the page facing the beginning of this Treatise, the compiler has written: 'Sequitur Filum Ariadneum quo [sic] Philosophus Anglus Londinas (i.e. John Dee [1527-1608]) quod filio suo (i.e. Arthur Dee [1579-1651] unico Arthuro Testamenti loco reliquit'. There is a similar inscription found in MS. No. 259 (5) of Part I of this Catalogue. On the verso of the last leaf of Vol. B is a note 'Memorandum: Comperato con il primo tomo A, questo tomo B. dal Sig. D. Casimiro Guerra medico le 14 Maggio 1749 per essere raccolti e studi del celebre in questa nostra Patria del fu Sig. Dottore Bisioli, Gran Medico, Astronomo, e Chimico e buon Filosofo'.

2 volumes 2 vols. 8vo. 15 x 9 cm. Original gilt-stamped calf binding. A leaf has been cut out before the beginning of the text of Vol. A. From a note on the verso of the second preliminary leaf of this volume, it appears that there were originally 6 volumes, lettered A to F.
