Lettering within the image: in the man's lefthand is a paper, inscribed, "For the Benefit of Mrs Cornellys", the box on the knee of the woman is inscribed, "Madamoisele Laycock Milliner", at the foot of the group lies a playbill of "All for Love", and the French cook reads a menu of "Bouillie Ragout Fricassée"
