Description

A single sheet of (IZAL?) toilet paper overprinted with an advertisement for IZAL disinfectant. It shows a (British Boer War?) soldier standing at guard, a Red Cross flag on a pole to his right, an isolation hospital hut behind him and a bottle of IZAL on a wooden table in the foreground. Probably dating from 1899-1902. IZAL was manufactured by Newton, Chambers and Company, Ltd. of Sheffield.
