Description

One man in drag looks out from the table, ignoring the guests, with a slightly vacant expression; the other characters engage in conversation. They are performing the play 'Ce bon Mr. Zoetebeek', a Brussels-based comedy by Jules Vanroy and Louis Bajart, published n 1913. We cannot find a record of the Friedberg camp, but as the number of Allied prisoners held by the Germans had reached 652,000 by 1916, the number of smaller camps proliferated
