Biographical note

In 1946 the Oxford centre occupied 4 Nissen huts on the Churchill Hospital, East Oxford, replaced by wooden prefabs to cope with expanding service. In 1979 a new centre was sited at John Radcliffe Hospital, officially opened 6 Mar 1980 by Sir William Maycock
