Notes

Hazel Ellerby comes from Nottinghamshire and is an actress and artist. Has worked in mainstream TV shows in the past but now says her art work (painting) takes priority. She has created a project around the plinth with a lead up to coming on and also will continue after the hour on the plinth. Her idea is based around women in society and their role in keeping things going. She has invited women from her region (East Midlands) to create a patch for a patchwork quilt she has made. She will be displaying the quilt on the plinth and will talk about the project. After the hour she will tour the quilt around galleries in the East Midlands and continue to add squares to the project. Ultimately she would like to sell the quilt, in whole or in parts at an auction to raise money for charities
