Description

The medal was presented in the Assembly Hall of the Cosmos Club, Washington DC, 9 May, 1921. Most of the letters in this file express regret at being unable to attend the occasion. Invitations were given by Henry Wellcome, and some invitees responded directly to Wellcome (see WF/E/07/01/43). For other papers relating to the occasion, see WF/E/07/04/04-08.
